TEKNOFEST 2026 Meetings Kick Off with Team Experiences and Inspiring Innovation Stories

The first event of the “TEKNOFEST 2026 Meetings” series, organized jointly by the TEKNOFEST Commission and TEKNOFEST Club of Yalova University Faculty of Engineering, brought together student teams to share their experiences, innovative projects, achievements, and challenges throughout the TEKNOFEST 2026 competition process.

Yalova University Faculty of Engineering continues to promote scientific research, technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and project-based learning among its students.

As part of these efforts, the “TEKNOFEST 2026 Process and Team Experiences” event was held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 12:30 PM, at the July 15 Conference Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

🎯 “Experience in October, Ideas in November, Projects in December!”

Launched under the inspiring motto “Experience in October, Ideas in November, Projects in December!”, the TEKNOFEST 2026 Meetings series aims to encourage student participation in national technology competitions, strengthen project development skills, and foster knowledge exchange between experienced teams and aspiring innovators.

The inaugural event provided an interactive platform where teams that reached the finals or gained valuable experience during TEKNOFEST 2026 shared their journeys, from initial project concepts to engineering design, implementation, and evaluation.

🏆 TEKNOFEST Teams Share Their Experiences

The event featured presentations by representatives of six student teams:

* RitimYZ Team
* TARAGAY BARS
* TARAGAY T-1 Team
* TARAGAY Team
* Elecdrone Team
* Arıkovanı UAV Team

Throughout their presentations, team members provided valuable insights into the various stages of the TEKNOFEST 2026 competition process, including team formation, application procedures, technical report preparation, research and development, patent-related processes, engineering design, prototype manufacturing, testing, and project evaluation.

Particular emphasis was placed on interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative engineering solutions, technical problem-solving, time and resource management, and overcoming challenges encountered during project implementation.

The presentations demonstrated that TEKNOFEST competitions offer much more than a competitive environment. They provide students with opportunities to transform theoretical knowledge into practical applications, develop research competencies, enhance teamwork skills, and gain valuable professional experience.

💡 Transforming Experience into Future Innovation

The event attracted considerable interest from students and concluded with a mentor-guided discussion and interactive question-and-answer session following the team presentations.

Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with experienced team members, discuss technical and organizational challenges, and gain practical advice on developing competitive technology projects.

The meeting also encouraged networking among students from different disciplines, laying the groundwork for potential collaborations and the formation of new multidisciplinary project teams.

By bringing together experienced competitors and students interested in technological innovation, the event contributed to strengthening the university’s culture of research, creativity, and collaborative engineering.

📅 TEKNOFEST Meetings Continue in November and December!

The TEKNOFEST 2026 Meetings series will continue with two upcoming events designed to support students at different stages of their innovation and project development journeys.

📌 November 23, 2026 (Monday) | “Bring Your Idea to the Table”

An online Commission and Club Support Meeting will provide students with an opportunity to present their project ideas, connect with potential teammates, explore collaboration opportunities, and learn about available support mechanisms for developing innovative projects.

📌 December 23, 2026 (Wednesday) | “Teams Festival”

Focusing on “National Technology Workshops and TEKNOFEST Competition Opportunities,” the Teams Festival will introduce students to technology development resources, competition opportunities, and potential pathways for transforming innovative ideas into practical engineering projects.

🌟 Be Part of the Next Generation of Technology Innovators!

No existing team or fully developed project is required to participate in the TEKNOFEST Meetings!

Yalova University Faculty of Engineering warmly invites students from all departments and academic years to participate in the upcoming events, explore innovative ideas, meet potential teammates, and become actively involved in scientific and technological development.

Every groundbreaking technological achievement begins with an idea, and every successful team begins with the courage to collaborate.

In line with Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative (Millî Teknoloji Hamlesi), Yalova University Faculty of Engineering remains committed to supporting students in becoming innovative, research-oriented, solution-driven engineers and technology developers who contribute to scientific advancement and sustainable technological progress.
