📌 Message from the Dean:
April 23, which marks a fundamental milestone on the path to our national sovereignty and independence, was later dedicated to children by Atatürk as a national holiday. Atatürk knew that the future of a nation lies in its children. The better they are educated and the more they understand their history, the stronger they will become and the less likely they are to make mistakes in the future.
For this reason, as we celebrate this day each year, children should reflect on the period of our history shaped by the struggle for independence and develop a deep awareness of the value of the free Republic of Türkiye they possess.
Let us not forget that Turkish independence and the Republic of Türkiye are the very foundation of our existence and our future, and our most precious treasure.
