The TARAGAY Team, composed of students from the Faculty of Engineering at Yalova University and continuing its project activities within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2026, paid a technical visit to the Yalova Wastewater and Sewerage Infrastructure Facilities Operating Union (YASKİ) to exchange knowledge and experience, observe technical practices on site, and explore potential areas for future collaboration.
🔧 Technical Knowledge Meets Real-World Engineering Practice
During the technical visit, TARAGAY Team members toured YASKİ's workshops and technical facilities, receiving detailed information from officials about ongoing activities, engineering practices, and operational processes. The visit provided students with an opportunity to connect their theoretical knowledge with real-world engineering applications and observe the functioning of infrastructure systems firsthand.
🎓 Internship, Practical Training, and Professional Development Opportunities Discussed
The meetings also addressed internship opportunities, practical training processes, and field experience possibilities that could contribute to the professional development of Yalova University Faculty of Engineering students. Potential collaboration models that could support engineering education through exposure to real working environments were discussed.
🔬 A Collaborative Perspective for Joint R&D and Student Projects
The visit also provided an opportunity to evaluate potential future cooperation between Yalova University and YASKİ, including joint R&D studies, student projects, technical consultancy activities, and engineering-focused collaborations.
Such visits, which aim to bring scientific knowledge and innovative ideas generated at universities together with real-world applications, are expected to make significant contributions to strengthening university–public sector collaboration, expanding practical training opportunities for students, and developing innovative engineering solutions.
🤝 As the Faculty of Engineering at Yalova University, we will continue to support initiatives that enhance our students' technical knowledge, field experience, and project development competencies while fostering sustainable collaborations with public institutions and sectoral stakeholders.
