Yalova University Faculty of Engineering took part in the “Breath for the Future, Breath for the World” tree-planting event held on 11 November – National Afforestation Day.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Fehime Jülide Hızal Yücesoy, along with academic and administrative staff and students, who came together to plant saplings symbolizing hope for a greener future.
Organized simultaneously across Türkiye under the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the event aims to expand forest areas, prevent erosion, and raise public awareness about environmental protection.
Declared by the Presidential Circular in 2019, National Afforestation Day is celebrated every year on 11 November with the motto “Today a Sapling, Tomorrow a Breath.”
