The patent titled “Smart Manufacturing Module”, which stands out as a concrete and valuable outcome of university-industry collaboration, has been successfully registered. Developed by Dr. Sabri Uzuner, faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, this invention represents a significant innovation in the field of smart manufacturing technologies.
Evaluated within the scope of TÜBİTAK Priority R&D and Innovation Areas, the patented system operates in integration with CNC (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems. The developed module collects mechanical, thermal, and electrical data generated during the manufacturing process in real time through sensors, and then analyzes these data using artificial intelligence algorithms to optimize machining parameters.
By assessing critical parameters such as vibration, temperature, and energy consumption, the system contributes to both improved production quality and enhanced energy efficiency. In this respect, the patent represents not only a technical innovation but also an important contribution to digital transformation and sustainable manufacturing goals.
This patent is expected to make a meaningful contribution to advanced manufacturing technologies and innovative engineering applications.
We congratulate Dr. Sabri Uzuner on this important achievement and wish him continued success in his academic and technological studies.
